About these benchmarks. Five questions use averages drawn directly from published research: Q1 (licensing reach) and Q5 (construction-AI products) from Dodge AI for Contractors (Nov 2025); Q7 (system integration) from Dodge and FMI; Q11 (dedicated capacity) from Dodge and ASCE Dec 2025; Q12 (measurement) from RICS Q1 2025 and McKinsey 2025. Two questions adapt published research to construction-specific wording: Q2 (office weekly use) extrapolates from cross-industry shadow-AI surveys; Q10 (governance) adapts MIT CISR Enterprise AI Maturity (Dec 2024) downward to reflect the construction lag. Six questions use AI Edge's best-effort internal estimates, pending primary research from this diagnostic's own dataset: Q3 (field-team use), Q4 (training type), Q6 (data foundation), Q8 (custom workflows), Q9 (work-fit decisions), Q13 (leadership cadence). Once N=50 unique firms have completed the diagnostic, our own data replaces the estimates on those questions.
